The sequel to the 2003 family comedy movie will once again star Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.
Disney announced today that the yet-untitled ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel started production today. It will be hitting theatres in 2025. They also shared photos and videos of the two main co-stars that are reprising their roles from the hit 2003 movie.

Besides Jamie Lee Curtis (as Tess Coleman) and Lindsay Lohan (as Anna Coleman), several other cast members are returning to their roles.

Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rosalind Chao are all set to return to ‘Freaky Friday 2,’ according to Disney.
They are being joined by new cast members, including Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Sophia Hammons.
What is ‘Freaky Friday 2’ about?
The film picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.
