The Korean boyband, which only debuted its first-ever song in September 2023, is on track to become the next global sensation with its latest release “Impossible.”
As the freshest addition to the K-pop (Korean pop music) scene, the group has been taking the music industry by storm. The group name RIIZE combines two words – “rise,” symbolizing growth, and “realize,” representing achievements – which together encapsulate the idea of a team that grows as one while achieving their dreams.
So far, all of their released songs – including the debut Get a Guitar – have placed with the top 100 songs on the global Spotify and Apple Music charts. “Impossible” has so far, in its first day of release, charted as #1 on iTunes in Thailand, Vietnam and Mongolia. It is also in the top 100 iTunes chart in other countries around the world like Japan (#3), Finland (#4), Norway (#21), New Zealand (#86), Brazil (#91) and more.
The track, heavily influenced by dance music with hints of house, comes from the group’s upcoming debut ‘mini-album’ titled “Riizing,” due to be released in June 2024.
RIIZE are also embarking on a tour called the “RIIZING DAY.” It will seem them playing venues mostly in Asia, including Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Manila and more. They will also play in Los Angeles and Mexico City this May.
The music video for Impossible was filmed on location in Lisbon, Portugal. It sees the band members Shotaro (쇼타로), Eunseok (은석), Sungchan (성찬), Wonbin (원빈), Sohee (소희) and Anton (앤톤) dancing around different locations, including a metro station, the beach and around the city.
Our inspiratioon take: The catchy new song us making us want to move and dance. The verses in Korean are perfectly paired with the English chorus, making it a guaranteed hit we can’t stop listening to. We love it.
