Dua Lipa releases new single “Illusion” with music video shot in Barcelona

A third single from the highly anticipated third studio album Radical Optimism (out May 3rd) is a dance extravaganza – including the mesmerizing music video.

After releasing Houdini and Training Season off of the upcoming album, the latest addition to Dua’s musical catalogue received a vibrant music video shot in Barcelona.

As Billboard writes, “the track features Lipa alongside dancers, high divers, and synchronized swimmers at the Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc in Barcelona, Spain, which was also the location for Kylie Minogue’s iconic “Slow” video.”

The new track is the most pop and dancey tune from Lipa’s new ‘era’ we have heard so far, while still keeping its distinctive “psychedelic pop” sound.

The energetic and visually vivid music video was directed by Tanu Muiño.

Talking about the new single, the singer said “‘Illusion’ was the first song Caroline [Ailin], Danny [Harle], Tobias [Jesso Jr.], Kevin [Parker] and I worked on together, and it really broke the ice for the record.”

Our inspiratioon take: Dua knows how to deliver a sensational pop release. This is about to be the song of the summer. We love it.
