Vanessa Williams releases new disco track ‘Legs (Keep Dancing)’

The acclaimed actress, model and musician has also announced her new album. It will mark her comeback to the music scene after 15 years.

“What a joy it is to be making new music behind the [mic] again with old friends,” Vanessa said about the new record due later this year. “There’s a certain comfort in creating new works in the studio while reminiscing about how so many years in this business have brought successes, excitement, and lasting memories.”

Williams has released her debut studio album The Right Stuff back in 1988 and is also known for her versatility in acting in front of the big and small screens, as well as on stage. Television audiences may remember her the best as Wilhelmina Slater from the renowned U.S. version of the global TV hit, Ugly Betty. The disco-inspired track ‘Legs (Keep Dancing)’ shows Williams is in her best form. She even references this in the lyrics with “Still here, still standing, still kicking in fact / I’m the best I’ve ever been.” The music video for the song sees Vanessa dancing flawlessly and showing off her perfect moves in different environments.

It is a fresh addition to the music scene; definitely an unexpected but very welcome release in 2024.

Our inspiratioon take: Vanessa’s 2024 return marks a fresh addition to the already booming music scene. The surprise release marks her return to music, in the best way, shape and form. The choreography, tunes of the disco paired with Vanessa’s timeless style and twinkle in her eye make this an absolute dance hit for us. We love it.
